It's Christmas time. My favorite time of the year

Sometimes I paint something just for the fun of painting.  "Hoppy Christmas" is one of those paintings.  It was early December and to help me get in the spirit of the Christmas season a little bit of silliness seemed like the direction I needed to go.   Since I rarely paint animals I challenged myself to make a soft, fuzzy, sweet, bunny as a Christmas gift.

I'm still searching for the perfect title for this piece.  I've asked friends for their title suggestions and here they are:

What's Inside, Magical Morning, Anticipation, Christmas Morning, Christmas Wonder, Christmas pajamas, Sneak Peek,  It's Finally Here, Santa's Joy, So Excited,  Is This One For Me?,  Joy, I Believe, The Gift of Christmas, Just a Peek,  and one cute friend suggested "Investigating the dead dog smell".   How is that for a title.  Leave it to Brian to come up with that one.

Austin, my four year old grandson (he was 2 in this painting), is the inspiration for this painting.  He is so pure, so tiny, so soft, so loving.    Everything is exciting, everything is possible, he has no idea that he brings so much joy into this world.

That is the reason for Christmas.  Joy to the World!
